Sustainable investment also rallying stronger interest from clients, as noted by 83% of firms in Global 500 research study

ASSET managers are looking to sustainability and organisational culture as differentiating factors amid an overcrowded industry that faces growing business pressures, according to the latest Global 500 research study by Willis Towers Watson's Thinking Ahead Institute and investment newspaper Pensions & Investments.

While asset managers had enjoyed a fairly benign environment over the last decade, observers are expecting disruption ahead on the back of pressure from fee compression, high cost of technology and regulatory activity, according to a statement by Willis Towers Watson.
