Battle for e-payments market share pushes players to collaborate rather than compete

DIGITAL payments platform Fave has an app that allows users to accumulate cashback rewards when they make purchases at FavePay partner outlets. But users who don't want to download the Fave app can also get those rewards when they use Google Pay, thanks to a strategic partnership between the 2 companies.
"We believe that the best way to drive payment digitalisation is for consumers and merchants to open up and be part of an open ecosystem," said Fave's chief executive Joel Neoh.
