Singapore shares end the week marginally higher
WHILE Brexit dominated the headlines this week, markets in Asia focused mostly on economic data from the US and China.
On Friday, news that China would prop up its slowing economic growth with fiscal stimulus and progress on trade talks between the US and China factored into sentiment.
In Singapore, the Straits Times Index (STI) started strongly but eventually closed flat, adding 2.26 points or 0.07 per cent to 3,200.18. On the week, the blue-chip index gained 4.31 points or 0.1 per cent from last Friday's close of 3,195.87.
