Transport is star performer YTD among industrials

GIVEN that industrials are among the broadest defined sectors in the equity space, it may be of little surprise then that analysts are just as varied in their picks for the sector.
But in the year-to-date period, of the 20 largest industrials on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) with more than half of their revenue exposure to the Asean region, transport firms were among the best performers.
SGX data showed that the five best performers were: SBS Transit, Moya Holdings Asia, ComfortDelGro, Chip Eng Seng Corp, and Singapore Post. As at April 17, the quintet averaged a total return of 27.6 per cent on the year.
