VIETNAMESE education firm MindX has obtained US$15 million in Series B funding in a round led by private equity fund Kaizenvest, it said on Wednesday (Apr 12).

Thailand education firm Aksorn, Japan’s Mynavi and Wavemaker Partners also participated in the round. MindX said it continues to receive debt financing from the Beacon Fund, which focuses on women-owned and women-led businesses in South-east Asia.

MindX will use the proceeds from the latest funding round to further develop its portfolio of products and services. It also plans to connect Vietnamese tech talents with employers in other parts of the world, including the US and Europe.

MindX runs an online platform that prepares Vietnamese users for technology careers by providing access to virtual or in-person classes. Over 35,000 students have graduated from MindX since its founding in 2015. It also partnered more than 200 companies in countries such as Singapore, Australia and Thailand to help its students find jobs.

On top of coding, MindX offers courses on other in-demand technology-related skills such as blockchain, data analytics and UI/UX design.

Its latest investment comes over a year after MindX bagged around US$3 million in Series A funding in November 2021, in a round led by Wavemaker Partners.
