What are Singapore Depository Receipts and how do they benefit investors?
FIVE new Singapore Depository Receipts (SDRs) which are linked to blue-chip companies in Thailand were listed on the Singapore Exchange (SGX) on Monday (Apr 1).
The five companies are: telco conglomerate Advanced Info Service, power-systems producer Delta Electronics, energy producer Gulf Energy, industrial materials conglomerate Siam Cement, and Kasikornbank.
Their listings follow the introduction of three SDRs on the SGX in May 2023 under the Thailand-Singapore Depository Receipt Linkage.
