'Yes' from 72 MPs, 'no' from all nine WP MPs, 3 NMPs abstained in late-night vote

THE proposed law against fake news was passed on Wednesday after a marathon two-day debate in Parliament.
At the end of Wednesday's session which stretched past 10 pm, the Protection from Online Falsehoods and Manipulation Bill was passed with 72 Members saying "yes", all nine Members from the opposition Workers' Party (WP) saying "no", and three Nominated MPs (NMPs) abstaining.
