UK MPs set for 3rd vote on May's exit deal

BRITISH Prime Minister Theresa May is banking on both the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP) and European Union (EU) leaders to push her Brexit withdrawal deal over the line.

She has received flak from opposition and Tory MPs as well as disloyalty from several of her key cabinet ministers.

But despite all the opprobrium and failures, Mrs May has demonstrated remarkable resilience and determination to get her deal passed.

Anthony Seldon, who has written histories of prime ministers, doubted whether Mrs May's rivals would have fared better. He likened her to a mauled boxer falling down for the count but still managing to struggle up again.
