Central banks of Brunei, Laos join regional payment connectivity initiative: Bank Indonesia
CENTRAL banks of Brunei Darussalam and Laos have officially joined a payment connectivity initiative in the South-east Asia region, Bank Indonesia said in a statement on Wednesday (Apr 3).
The initiative aims for more inclusive cross-border payments in the region, the statement said, adding a total of eight central banks in the region have joined with the latest addition of Brunei and Laos.
Central banks of Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam have joined previously. REUTERS
