Grape expectations
Lesser-known wines and those from 'green' vineyards are up for selection at Cold Storage's wine fair.
THERE'S nothing quite like kicking back on the sofa with a glass of wine at the end of a long day at work. When it comes to deciding what to drink, customers are spoilt for choice at the ongoing 12th International Wine Fair organised by Cold Storage, with over 300 wines from around the world available.
Fiona Stephens, regional merchandise manager for Dairy Farm South-east Asia, which owns Cold Storage, recommends these crowd pleasers: "For bubbly, I'd pick a prosecco because people find it more palatable than champagne."
When it comes to whites, she suggests a sauvignon blanc, and an Argentinian malbec when picking a red. "If you like rosé, you can't go wrong with one from Provence."
