Designer Pasar
Hailed as "Macham pasar malam but cooler", Design Pasar brings together some of Singapore's most beloved brands such as Supermama, Creamier Handcrafted Ice Cream and Coffee and Floral Magic under one roof. Like the night markets of yesteryear, it's a neighbourhood gathering place for residents and visitors alike to meet up with friends and share conversations over entertainment, food and drinks. Besides a retail element, there are music performances by local indie bands and DJs, a mini Uncle Ringo-inspired retro carnival games section that lets you win some cool design merchandise as prizes, instead of conventional soft toys.
Organised by traditional craft purveyors The General Co, local woodworkers Roger&Sons and award-winning design agency Foreign Policy, Design Pasar hopes to foster greater community spirit amongst the next generation of creators.
Design Pasar is on Aug 3, from 4pm to 10pm at 115 King George's Avenue.
