Fab Four Fantasy
Once upon a time there was a band called The Beatles. (Almost) everybody around the world loved them but a mysterious global blackout wiped out memories of the group for everyone except one man. The latter is Jack (Himesh Patel), the lead character in Yesterday, Danny Boyle's new rom-com about a world where only one person has heard of the Fab Four. With his singing dreams going nowhere, Jack suddenly realises the songs of John, Paul, George and Ringo could give his own career a massive boost. The soundtrack features Patel doing very impressive covers of the title track as well as other Beatles classics including Something, Here Comes the Sun, In My Life and Hey Jude (Ed Sheeran recommends renaming it Hey Dude in one of the film's funniest scenes).
Yesterday is in cinemas now. The original soundtrack is available to stream on all digital platforms.
