myBT personalisation feature now available on the BT app

THE Business Times (BT) has rolled out its myBT feature for BT app users, allowing them to personalise their reading experience by curating the topics they are most interested in.

Following the launch of myBT for web users in March, registered BT users and subscribers now have access to the feature across both web and the BT app.

How do I set up myBT on the BT app?

myBT is now available as a section of the BT app and will display stories based on keywords that users have selected.

Apple and Android users will receive automatic updates to their BT apps, allowing them to access the myBT feature.

Alternatively, iOS and Android users can download the latest version of the BT app from the Google and Apple app stores to get immediate access to myBT on their mobile devices. 

App users can follow these steps to set up the myBT feature:

VIEW ALL

1. Select “myBT” from the menu at the bottom of the app.

2. If you are not logged in, you will be prompted to do so. Click on “Get Started” to log in.

3. Once logged in, users will be prompted to select keywords that match their interests on the onboarding page. 

4. After selecting your first keywords, tap the “Save and See Your Page” button to go to your personal myBT reading page.

5. Your myBT page will now display stories from your selected keywords

How do I change or add to my keywords?

1. From your personal myBT reading page, you can tap the settings button at the top right of the screen to select more keywords or deselect keywords you have followed.

2. While reading any article on the BT app, you can follow its primary keyword at the top of the page by clicking on the “+” sign beside the keyword.

3. From any article page, you can also follow its secondary keywords at the bottom of the page by clicking on the “+” sign beside the keywords.

4. Should you click on the keyword itself instead of the “+” sign, you will be taken to the keyword listing page. You can also follow the keyword from this page.
