Malaysia: Shares open lower on Friday

MALAYSIA share prices opened lower on Friday with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index down 2.24 points to 1,607.09 at 9am.
Volume was 69.03 million lots worth RM18.72 million.
Gainers beat losers 127 to 41.
