Under chief executive Mark Okerstrom, the tech travel giant is set to log more M&A miles.

FOR Mark Okerstrom, chief of travel tech juggernaut Expedia, the Shakespeare-inspired phrase "the world is your oyster"- trite as it sounds these days - has a literal reach.

So it may have been somewhat quizzical to ask the Canadian - who has been with the Nasdaq-listed online travel powerhouse for 13 years, the most recent two (and counting) as president and chief executive - what could possibly be left on his "wanderlist" to check off.

"Machu Picchu... someday soon. Hopefully," he reveals, without skipping a beat, and adds: "There are so many amazing and beautiful places in the world. I just haven't got there yet."
