Biolidics chairman to step down at later date amid search for replacement
GAVIN Mark McIntyre, the independent chairman of Catalist-listed Biolidics : 8YY 0%, will leave his post on Nov 30 – instead of Friday (Sep 29), as previously announced when he resigned.
This will give Biolidics’ board and nominating committee more time to identify and appoint one or more suitable replacements, the company said in a bourse filing on Friday. Besides chairing the board, McIntyre also chairs its audit committee.
The additional time will allow for a smooth handover of duties, and comes at the request of the other members of the board, Biolidics added.
Separately, the company is also seeking a new sponsor, as announced on Thursday. United Overseas Bank has terminated its continuing sponsorship agreement with the company, citing “commercial reasons”.
Biolidics shares ended Friday at S$0.014, up 7.7 per cent or S$0.001.
