George Yeo joins Wilmar board
SINGAPORE's former foreign minister George Yeo has been appointed by Singapore Exchange (SGX)-listed Wilmar International to its board of directors.
In a notification to the SGX on Friday, the Singapore-based agribusiness group said it had appointed Mr Yeo as a non-independent, non-executive director with effect from Nov 1.
"The Board has reviewed the recommendation made by the Nominating Committee and, having considered Mr George Yong-Boon Yeo's vast knowledge and expertise in both the public sector and international business affairs, has approved his appointment as Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Wilmar," it noted in the written announcement.
