INCREASED retail participation in equity markets will help boost returns, particularly in sectors hard-hit by the pandemic as risk-tolerant investors look to increase their exposure in recovery plays, said Ian Douglas-Pennant, UBS head of Asean equity research on Friday.
The rush of liquidity has continued to drive more inflows. Savings are being deployed in capital markets, which boost demand for equities and push prices higher, said Mr Douglas-Pennant at a media conference. "We find ourselves in a very attractive position in South-east Asia," he said.
