SIA pilots taking deeper pay cuts to avert layoffs
Pilots to also see loss in productivity allowance - linked to flying - which is about 40% of overall salary package

SINGAPORE Airlines' (SIA) local pilots will take additional pay cuts to stave off lay-offs as the carrier restructures to rightsize its operations.
However, it is understood 59 pilots on employment passes (EPs) were informed on Monday that they would be let go. Also being let go are the cadet pilots.
