Competition panel concludes probe after GrabFood, Deliveroo act on complaint
Investigations commenced in September 2019, amid tension among some industry players

THE Competition and Consumer Commission of Singapore (CCCS) on Wednesday said it has concluded an investigation into the online food delivery and virtual kitchen sectors - one that began after a cloud kitchen operator had complained that its merchants were being shut out by GrabFood and Deliveroo.
Singapore's competition watchdog had commenced the probe in September 2019, amid tension among some industry players.
CCCS told The Business Times last year that the investigation was focused on two types of conduct. One involves exclusive agreements which prevent food and beverage (F&B) tenants of virtual kitchens from using the online food delivery services of competitors.
