Consortium to build plant-based protein facility in Singapore
The factory aims to generate thousands of tonnes of protein - an egg substitute, and possibly later, cultured meat

A FOOD production company which makes JUST Egg, an egg substitute from mung beans, has tied up with a consortium to build and run a plant-protein production facility in Singapore.
The consortium is led by Proterra Investment Partners Asia, an investment-management firm focused on the food and agribusiness sectors. The consortium will invest up to US$100 million, while egg-substitute maker Eat Just will put in up to US$20 million for the facility.
