Gojek to take measured approach to regional expansion, focus on sustainable growth
Firm will be more disciplined in the kinds of offerings it rolls out in different markets
Singapore
GOJEK said it will take a measured approach to regional expansion, as it launches what is only its second service in Singapore after a year of ride-hailing operations.
Gojek might have over 20 services in its home market of Indonesia, but newly minted co-chief executive officer Andre Soelistyo said the firm will be more disciplined about the kinds of offerings it rolls out in different markets. Mr Soelistyo was speaking at Gojek Singapore's first-year anniversary event on Friday, where the group announced a ride-hailing partnership with Singapore's second-largest taxi company Trans-Cab.
