The People's Action Party's (PAP) Yip Hon Weng won with 60.83 per cent of the vote in the Yio Chu Kang single member constituency (SMC), against the Progress Singapore Party's Kayla Low.

Mr Yip received 14,756 votes, with Ms Low pulling in 9,500 votes. There were 413 rejected votes. Both candidates are competing in an election for the first time.

Yio Chu Kang was an SMC in the 2006 General Election (GE), but was part of Ang Mo Kio GRC in the 2011 GE. The ward was most recently represented by Senior Minister of State Koh Poh Koon when it was part of Ang Mo Kio GRC, but Dr Koh ended up being fielded in Tampines GRC at this GE.
