Updated as at March 12.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) raised the risk alert level for the novel coronavirus to Orange on Feb 7.

The virus was officially named Covid-19 on Feb 11 by the World Health Organization.

Since early February, landlords and managers of several commercial properties in Singapore have been informing tenants of either confirmed or suspected cases of the virus in their buildings.

For the general public, the risk of infection from transient contact, such as on public transport or in public places, is assessed to be low, MOH said in its statement on Feb 8.

Here's a list of office and retail spaces in Singapore that have been linked to suspected and confirmed cases of Covid-19, based on formal notifications and reports:

(* denotes cases that are not confirmed)

OCBC Centre

An OCBC Bank employee tested positive for the novel coronavirus on March 10. The Business Times (BT) understands that he/she works at the lender's headquarters at OCBC Centre on 65 Chulia Street. The employee was last in the office on Feb 28, the bank said on March 12.

A Singapore employee of US tech giant Oracle tested positive for the virus on March 10, according to an internal memo seen by BT. The employee was last seen in Oracle's office on level 12 of the Galaxis building on March 6, before developing symptoms on March 8. Oracle will close the office until March 13.

The Galaxis building sits above the one-north MRT station, and includes two office towers as well as a two-storey retail podium.

The Aperia Mall, Funan Mall

Two climbing gyms - Boulder+ at The Aperia Mall in Kallang and Climb Central at Funan Mall in the central business district - have been affected by Covid-19.

There are reports of three cases at Boulder+ and one case at Climb Central as at March 11, although it is unclear if they are linked or if the same person had visited both gyms.

Case 142 is a 26-year-old Singaporean man who had visited The Aperia Mall. He was confirmed to have the infection on March 7. He was at Boulder+ with two other confirmed cases on March 5, and they are a subset of the Safra Jurong cluster, MOH said. One of the two other cases had also visited Funan Mall.

Meanwhile, Case 163, a 27-year-old Singaporean woman, reported onset of symptoms on March 8. She was referred to the National Centre for Infectious Diseases on March 9. She is a contact of Case 142, the climber who was at The Aperia Mall's gym. She had visited Funan Mall before admission to hospital, although MOH did not state whether she went climbing there. Climb Central on March 10 said that a climber who visited its branch in Funan Mall on March 8 was confirmed with the disease.

A staff member working at Facebook's Singapore office in Marina One was diagnosed with Covid-19 on March 6, AFP reported. The building manager said it was informed on Feb 20 that an employee of a tenant at One Raffles Quay (ORQ) South Tower was diagnosed with the virus. The employee last visited the tenant's premises on Feb 10, according to a circular dated Feb 20 seen by BT. Since Feb 11, the tenant has been conducting split operations, which means fewer of its staff have been in the building.

Located in Raffles Place, ORQ is made up of the 50-storey North Tower and 29-storey South Tower. It is managed by Raffles Quay Asset Management (RQAM), which also manages Marina Bay Financial Centre.

Ngee Ann City

Ngee Ann City's management issued a notice to tenants on Feb 17 about a confirmed case in the Tower A office building, but did not identify the company that the individual is from. On the same day, MOH announced Case 77, a 35-year-old Singaporean man who was a contact of Case 50, the 62-year-old male DBS employee who works at Marina Bay Financial Centre.

DBS on Feb 18 confirmed that Case 77 is also its employee. He is based in one of the bank's satellite offices, although DBS did not disclose the location. According to Today, he is understood to be a staff member at DBS's Ngee Ann City branch. DBS Treasures, which offers wealth management services, has an office on the fifth storey of the development.

The employee works at Shell's main Singapore office at The Metropolis, an integrated development in Buona Visa comprising two office towers with retail and food and beverage outlets.

The colleagues who were in close contact with that employee have been advised to work from home until further notice.

Marina Bay Financial Centre

An employee at a tenant housed in Tower 1 was diagnosed with the virus. The employee had visited the tenant's premises for a short while on Jan 30, before being sent home as he/she felt unwell. RQAM (which also manages One Raffles Quay) on Feb 11 confirmed that the affected tenant is in Tower 1.

On Feb 12, a second case at the development - a DBS employee - was confirmed, as Case 50. DBS said all its employees on the affected floor at Tower 3 had vacated the premises as at 12pm on Feb 12, and will work from home. BT understands that not more than 200 employees were affected, including about 20 asked to take a 14-day leave of absence due to direct contact with the confirmed case.

Key tenants at Marina Bay Financial Centre include Standard Chartered in Tower 1 and DBS in Tower 3. The three towers also house other financial institutions and large corporates.

The clinic closed immediately, and the individual was isolated in the clinic until he/she was transferred to the ambulance.

The affected premises have been disinfected and sanitised. The property manager has also replaced air filters for the air handling unit that supplies air-conditioning to the clinic.

The three-storey Alexandra Retail Centre is linked to the office spaces in the 40-storey PSA Building. Both properties along Alexandra Road are owned by Mapletree Commercial Trust.

Suntec City*

Anthony Yip, deputy chairman of Suntec City's property manager APM Property Management, on Feb 11 said its crisis response team helped to escort the individual suspected of having the virus to the ambulance pick-up point with minimal public exposure.

The affected areas were immediately disinfected and sanitised. The property manager is conducting temperature checks on visitors, office tower occupiers and service and management staff.

An individual, who is suspected of having Covid-19, required medical attention at around 12.30pm on Feb 10.

After visiting a clinic at the building along Shenton Way, the individual was transported to the necessary medical attention in an ambulance and is said to be presently quarantined at home.
