The sixth ship to join “The World’s Most Luxurious Fleet”, Seven Seas Grandeur – A Heritage of Perfection lives up to its name with a vessel designed by the multi-award-winning Studio Dado, built by premier shipbuilder Fincantieri in Ancona, Italy.

With its gross tonnage of 55,500 and staff of 548 serving just 746 guests, the ship boasts unrivalled space and service, luxurious accommodation, impeccable dining and entertainment options, and an art collection that will impress even the most experienced aficionados.

Its first passengers have already set sail on its maiden voyage which left the port city of Trieste, Italy on Nov 18 for Barcelona, after which it will cruise the Atlantic to Miami, Florida on Dec 10 for an extravagant soiree to commemorate the event.

The guest of honour that evening will be Sarah Faberge – the founding member of the Faberge Heritage Council and great-granddaughter of Peter Carl Faberge, who created the iconic jewelled Faberge Egg.

Faberge, who will perform ship christening duties, has been named “godmother” of Seven Seas Grandeur as part of a historic collaboration between the jewellery maison and Regent Seven Seas, which will create the first-ever customised Faberge egg to permanently reside at sea. This one-of-a-kind objet d’art, aptly titled Journey in Jewels, is the star attraction of a multi-million dollar art collection that will be exhibited onboard the ship.

Offering food for the eyes is the ship’s 1,600-piece collection, showcasing not just Faberge’s Journey in Jewels but a host of predominantly contemporary artworks which took nearly two years to curate from international artists and galleries. Additionally, the ship debuts Regent’s first digital art tour, Art Experience, accessible through the new Regent mobile app which allows guests to connect with the artworks and the artists.

As for entertainment, Seven Seas Grandeur introduces four spellbinding productions – Pasion, Ignite the Night, Marauder’s Ball, and Icons – each headlined by world-class performers, featuring breathtaking choreography, as well as the talent of Grammy Award winners and renowned choreographers.
