American burger, fries and milkshake institution, Five Guys, has finally opened in Singapore; and as expected, the queue is pretty long (for a good reason, of course). Hopefully that should ease up a little when the outdoor seating area opens to increase the outlet's capacity to 160. Founded in 1986 in Washington DC, Five Guys is famous for making their burgers fresh - no freezing, no microwaving - and their meat's 80/20 lean-to-fat ratio. Buns are baked daily and customers can fill their burgers from 15 free toppings. Not only that, the fries are hand cut and made boardwalk style - firm on the outside and creamy on the inside. Save room for the shakes which can be customised from premium mix-ins including crispy bacon, bananas and strawberries, or cold-brew coffee.
