Eco Concept
Merci Marcel started out as a cosy French bakery cafe in Tiong Bahru and has since grown enough to open a full-fledged restaurant in Orchard Road, with its spacious, plant-littered new premises at Palais Renaissance. But fans of its big salads and baked goods are also sauntering through its eye-catching retail store next door decorated in colourful tropical resort hues and emphasising artisanal, eco-friendly wares. Decked out like a Parisian apartment, its antique furniture acts as a backdrop for over 700 products from 80 French and international brands, many of which work with artisans in East and West Africa to create rich traditional prints and embroidery for handmade cushions, as well as fashion and accessories. Check out also sustainable brands that make lamps, necklaces and vases out of recycled materials.
Merci Marcel is at #01-03/04 Palais Renaissance.
