Art On Foot
If you are heading to Little India this weekend, keep an eye out for a group of peacocks. No, these birds aren't lost - they are part of a new 70m long wall mural, Mayura, along Belilios Lane. The mural, touted as the longest in Little India, and other art installations are some highlights of ARTWALK Little India, now in its sixth year. Join a guided art tour of the area, or download a guide on your phone to explore at your own pace. Besides admiring art, there are also pop up markets, workshops to attend, as well as dining experiences that include live performances. Aimed at bringing more life to Little India, ARTWALK is jointly organised by LASALLE College of the Arts and Singapore Tourism Board, with the support of Little India Shopkeepers and Heritage Association.
ARTWALK Little India 2020 is on Jan 17, 18. Details at artwalklittleindia.sg.
