Redas donates S$451,000 of vouchers to SingHealth
THE Real Estate Developers' Association of Singapore (Redas) donated S$451,000 in the form of NTUC vouchers to Singapore Health Services (SingHealth) in appreciation of frontline healthcare staff and other workers in the Covid-19 pandemic.
The donation was presented on June 12 with Desmond Lee, Minister for Social and Family Development and Second Minister for National Development, as guest of honour. Mr Lee said that while Covid-19 continues to cause difficulties, the frontline healthcare workers are doing their best to take care of all patients.
Chia Ngiang Hong, president of Redas, said: "We are heartened that many Redas members have stepped up to support our fund raising efforts to reach a total of S$852,000 for our Redas Solidarity Project Fund within a relatively short period. In addition to providing care packs and standing fans to migrant workers in the built environment sector, we are very happy to coordinate with the Community Chest to provide vouchers to the many dedicated healthcare and related workers."
