Singapore investors snapping up Australia commercial properties despite pandemic
They have poured A$1.2b into such assets in H1 2020, compared with A$972m in H1 2019: Cushman & Wakefield

SINGAPORE investors poured a total of A$1.2 billion (S$1.19 billion) into Australian commercial real estate in the first half of 2020, higher than the same period last year, according to Cushman & Wakefield data. It was A$972 million in H1 2019.
These investors accounted for A$4.84 billion worth of transactions during 2019, the highest on record and ranking as the top source of offshore capital targeting Australian commercial real estate assets.
The previous peak was in 2014 when Singapore investment into Australian commercial real estate totalled A$4.76 billion.
