JTC names new members to its board, reappoints Tan Chong Meng as chairman
SINGAPORE’S Ministry of Trade and Industry has appointed three new members to JTC Corporation’s board and reappointed Tan Chong Meng as chairman. The changes take effect on Monday (Apr 1).
Tan was first appointed to JTC’s board in April 2019.
The new members are Commonwealth Capital group managing director Andrew Kwan; Ministry of Defence (Mindef) Chief of Defence Force Aaron Beng; and Tan Chin Hwee, who is chairman of Singapore Trade Data Exchange (SGTraDex) Services and chairman of the Energy Supply Resilience Advisory Panel within the Energy Market Authority.
Other board members reappointed are Goh Swee Chen, NTU Board of Trustees chairman; Judy Lee, managing director of Dragonfly and chief executive officer of Dragonfly Capital Venture; and Muthukrishnan Ramaswami, GXS Bank group CEO.
Those who stepped down on Mar 31 are former DBS group executive Jeanette Wong; Melvyn Ong, Permanent Secretary (Development) at the Ministry of National Development and Permanent Secretary (Defence Development) at Mindef; and Michael Sim, Platanetree Capital executive director.
