HEADING into 2020, digital transformation will continue to be a strong theme for Singapore small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), driven by government support and a push for increased productivity.
Beyond the laser focus on efficiency, however, digitalisation and technology adoption can address some other long-term issues for SMEs, observers say. These include growing their businesses' scale and geographical reach, and finding and retaining the right talent, said Bidhan Roy, head of small business for Asia Pacific, Japan and China at Cisco.
