Malaysia: Shares close higher on Friday

MALAYSIA share prices closed higher on Friday, with the FTSE Bursa Malaysia Kuala Lumpur Composite Index up 1.94 points to 1,596.74.

Volume was 6.634 billion lots worth RM4.810 billion.

Gainers outnumbered losers 586 to 535.
