Number of Internet users in S-E Asia up by 100 million over past four years; region's Web economy projected to triple current size by 2025

AS COMPANIES turn to technology to improve their operational efficiency and better serve their customers, South-east Asia offers new opportunities for Singapore firms looking to expand in the region.
According to the Singapore Business Federation's National Business Survey 2019/2020, 76 per cent of firms which indicated they intend to expand were keen to venture into the Asean region, similar to 2018/2019 levels.
The top three destinations in the 2019/2020 survey were Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia.
Rising interest in the region comes amid rapid technological advancement which is quickly transforming the way consumers behave.
