Tropical Bar
Toast to Orchard Road's past at Orchard Hotel Singapore's freshly rejuvenated Bar Intermezzo. Extending beyond its leafy, botanical-influenced decor is a line of creative cocktails that pay tribute to the cash crop plantations growing everything from pineapples to nutmeg that dotted Orchard Road in the 19th century. House made syrups and infusions of tropical fruit find their way into cocktails such as Coconut - featuring coconut fat-washed Plantation Dark Rum and cognac - and the gin-based Pepper laced with chartreuse and pink peppercorn syrup. There's an Asian-inspired bar snacks menu too, with satay, chicken drumlets with a mala dip, fried samosas and grilled stingray fingers. Sit back, listen to the live music from a resident band and drift off to an era a long time ago.
Orchard Hotel Singapore, 442 Orchard Road.
