SBF, trade bodies lead way on fair employment
Pledge by 29 trade associations and chambers, under aegis of business federation, highlights core principles
Singapore
THE pledge made by the 29 trade associations and chambers (TACs) to support fair hiring and employment practices is as much a commitment to the Singapore core as it is a commitment to hiring based on merit.
As pointed out by Federico Donato, president of the European Chamber of Commerce in Singapore: "When you want to win the Champion's League, you have to have the best talent and you have to keep the best talent. And (for) the best talent, sometimes there's no passport (and) no gender."
