On the Eco Trail
Chinatown goes green as the location for the second edition of MINI EXTRAODDINARY. The trail is part of Mini's initiative to go beyond producing cars, and raise awareness about issues that arise from urban living. Last year, MINI EXTRAODDINARY went around Joo Chiat, and this year, it heads to Chinatown to explore the topic of sustainability. At stops along Temple and Smith Streets, and People's Park Food Centre, there will be installations and activities that spotlight trends and innovations in sustainability. See how pineapple leaves are processed and turned into faux leather; edible plastic is made; and mushrooms become building blocks. There are also kombucha tasting sessions, and demonstrations of Chinese calligraphy using ink processed from sewage.
MINI EXTRAODDINARY - An Ecocultural Trail, is on from Nov 22 to 24, in Chinatown. See cp.mini.com.sg/extraoddinary/ for details.
